I wish Dick were in more series.

Things I liked: it was all talk.  Most of the issue was debate and internal conflict.

Things I didn't like: Dick's a good person.  I don't know if he's that good a person.

Detective Comics #39

Manapul excels at creating mood.

Things I liked: Batman and Bullock have such an interesting relationship.

Things I didn't like: the Ararky/Alice connection.

Batman Eternal #44

I liked this one a lot.

Things I liked: it had movement and urgency.  Something this title has been lacking.

Things I didn't like: it's almost at the end and we still have no idea who's doing this.

Poor Felicity.

Things I liked: how happy she was that someone came.

Things I didn't like: adding Cheetah.

I hate Superman, but that final panel was payoff.

Things I liked: that it did take massive destruction to get Superman off his ass.

Creepy, just creepy.

Things I liked: he's learning.  Admitting to Dick he doesn't have a plan is a huge step.

Things I didn't like: I still feel it's too big.

They turned a list into a story.

Things I liked: I want to see stories from some of these Earths.

Things I didn't like: missed opportunities.  The current crop of TV shows (especially on the CW) should be its own Earth.

The spirals on the covers give this a very coherent look.

Magog is dumb.  Circe may salvage this story.

Things I didn't like: Wonder Woman does not ignore people expecting Superman to clean up the mess.

Things I liked: Harper.  She's grown on me.

Things I didn't like: Harper as the new Nightwing.  I don't like that at all.

Batman versus Riddler.

Things I liked: it's hard to make the Riddler menacing.  These guys can do it.\

Very fun story.  I figured out where they were going with this pretty early but that just added to the fun.

Things I liked: Dick can't help it.  He's a performer.

Things I didn't like: I think they bungled the ending a little.

Dick Grayson, Animal Man, Katana.

Things I liked: nice recap of Dick's life.  The Katana story was also good.

Things I didn't like: Animal Man was forgettable.  That's too bad, it was a good series.

I don't like Damian with super powers.

Things I liked: Alfred is the best.

Things I didn't like: Dick should have been there.

It's weird reading a Christmas story in February.

Pills that give powers are always fun.

It's classic Captain Marvel!

Things I liked: Captain Marvel Junior knows exactly how to defeat Sivanna's daughter.

Things I didn't like: I want more and I know I won't get it.

It's Lois, isn't it?

Things I liked: the way Batman approached this problem was very well written.  I'm quite enjoying this character.

Things I didn't like: why hasn't Lois already been targeted.  She's been Superman's girlfriend forever.

Batman Eternal #37

I'm not quite sure how Selena managed to become a crime lord, but I guess it makes sense.

Things I liked: she at least has plans.  That's more than can be said of most of Gotham's criminals.

Things I didn't like: the art was very inconsistent.

Things I liked: it was a very Diana thing to do.

Things I didn't like: Wonder Woman on Apokolips is wrong.  So wrong.

Vicki knows Batman well.

Things I liked: Harper's growing on.  I'd forgotten she was around and now I think I missed her.

I still don't know where this is going.

Things I liked: some of the new Legion costumes are so much better.

Things I didn't like: the interaction between the characters often seems forced.

Things I liked: Bard has quite the plan.

Things I didn't like: where's the Batman fail safe?

Hmmm... I know he'll survive this because, well, Batman Eternal, but this is a blow.

Things I liked: Tommy's playing the long game.

Things I didn't like: I hope they're distancing Batman and Wayne Enterprises, otherwise the federal government taking over is disturbing.

Wonder Woman #36

A new creative team.  I'll give them a chance but I'm not a big fan of Davis Finch's art style.

Things I liked: Aquaman is Swamp Thing's favourite Leaguer.  Tee hee!

Things I didn't like: I was pretty sure that Hippolyta was no longer a clay statue.

Multiversity: Pax Americana

While I was excited to see all the Carlton characters I was disappointed with the whole.

Things I liked: I get what he was trying to do.  Some of the panel progressions were innovative and interesting choices.  Especially the walk and talk down the staircase.

Things I didn't like: trying too hard to be Watchmen.  I didn't like Watchmen.

Teen Titans #4

I hope he's not falling for it.

Things I liked: well it's a plan that I can see working.

Things I didn't like: Tim got Scullied.

Superman/Wonder Woman #13

I wonder if they're breaking up.  They seem to have very different world views.

Things I liked: Bruce gave Clark a typewriter.  That's very human.  Alfred probably picked it out.

Things I didn't like: Diana is much less patient than she usually is.

Sensation Comics #4

Having two stories in the 40's style was annoying.

Things I liked: the second story was the best of the bunch.

Things I didn't like: not a strong issue.  The first story was my least favourite from last issue and the other two didn't stand out.

Red Hood and the Outlaws #36

Starfire and drugs seem an odd combo.

Things I liked: how close the three of them are.

Things I didn't like: there are holes in the story.

This was touching.

Things I liked: Ronnie's whole arc was great.  I'll miss the character.

Superman's Joker is an interesting idea, but I don't know if it works.  There's something about a nemesis that is more Batman than Superman.

Things I liked: the guy dressed as Superman in the children's hospital was a hero.

Things I didn't like: it doesn't feel like the writer is particularly concerned with the current continuity.

Batman Eternal #33

We're still only halfway!

Things I liked: Julia taking a more active role.

Things I didn't like: the weapons caches.  I hope Lucius doesn't lose his job over this.

Batman and Robin #36

Almost there.

Things I liked: the art was actually pretty intense.  Lots of action.

Things I didn't like: he did go a little Red Lantern on them.

Batgirl #36

Not surprised at the story.  It does have a very anime look.

Things I liked: lots of social stuff from this team.

Things I didn't like: she still seems young.

I still feel I know how this will end.

Things I liked: Bruce - always prepared.

Things I didn't like: I can't think of anything.  Even the backup was solid.

They went from fighting to working together comic book fast.

Things I liked: some of the relationships they're building are really interesting.

Things I didn't like: if Brainiac 5 knows the Legion Lost are here, why are they still lost?

A leap of faith.  Cute.

Things I liked: the story seems to be ramping up.

Things I didn't like: it's still so slow.  I get that it's weekly and they have more time to tell the story but some of it feels like padding.

Felicity as a hired killer?  I don't know.

Things I liked: hard to say.  It's still setting everything up.

Things I didn't like: they're working so hard to distance themselves from the last team.

Sensation Comics #3

Very cartoony art this issue.  The first was my favourite style.

Things I liked: the first story was the best.  Very Wonder Woman even if it was more about her ideals.

Things I didn't like: the third story was disappointing.  Art was not to my liking and after two stories about her power this one cuts her down.

Detective Comics #36

Much darker than I expect my Batman.  But I liked it.

Things I liked: nice to see Dick still working for Batman.

Things I didn't like: spying has not been good for Dick.

Wonder Woman #35

Did not see that coming.  All this time Zola was Athena.

Things I liked: Diana really cut loose.

Things I didn't like: where do they go from here?  This was so epic and changed everything.  How does she just become a hero?

Multiversity: The Just

Such a neat idea.  Earth 16 (according to the  cover).

Things I liked: children of heroes having nothing to do.

Things I didn't like: the Grant Morrison did I miss a page?

Justice League #35

This does everything a prologue is supposed to do.  I'm very excited by what's coming.

Things I liked: Geoff Jones writes my second favourite Batman.

Things I didn't like: Lex has a hand in too many pies.

Future's End #26

Finally!  Someone talked some sense into Ronnie and Jason.

Things I liked: Batman's just the coolest.
