Batman and Robin #38

That is one smug kid.

Things I liked: Bruce is trying to be a dad.

Things I didn't like: Damian with powers.

Batman and Robin #37

Very touching splash panel near the end.

Things I liked: Batman kicks ass.

Things I didn't like: had to die, huh?

Batman and Robin #36

Almost there.

Things I liked: the art was actually pretty intense.  Lots of action.

Things I didn't like: he did go a little Red Lantern on them.

Batman and Robin #35

Getting closer.

Things I liked: watching Batgirl, Red Robin and Red Hood work together.

Things I didn't like: them all dressing like Robin.

Future's End Batman and Robin #1

Didn't he just go through this with Lex?

Things I liked: they tried really hard to include Damian.

Things I didn't like: is this the only thing they have for Batman in the future?  He's the other father of Brother Eye.  Where's all that?

Batman and Robin #34

Yay!  Dick was involved in the meeting.

Things I liked: that he's not planning to take the Robins to Apokolips.

Things I didn't like: and why can't he tell them Dick is alive?

Batman and Robin #33

The Bat Hell suit looks weird.

Things I liked: the conversation with Clark was nice.

Things I didn't like: Dick should be here for this.

Batman and Robin #31

I'm up for more Batman and Frankenstein team ups.

Things I liked: Frank's two conditions.

Things I didn't like: how many times does Ra's have to submerge these things?

Batman and Robin #30

That is one manly looking Amazon.

Things I liked: not much to be honest.

Things I didn't like: I was looking forward to this one.  I like Batman and Wonder Woman together but the manly Amazons and the numerous mentions of a musky Batman put me right off.

Batman and Robin #29

I knew it was coming.  The search for Robin begins.

Things I liked: of course Ra's al Ghul is going to resurrect his daughter and grandson.  Why wouldn't he?

Things I didn't like: the romp through guest stars this is going to involve.  Plus, being housed in a whale's uterus does not make the clone part aquatic.

Batman and Robin #28

Woot!  Looks like the last of Batman and a Two-Face.  I wasn't a fan.

Things I liked: Batman refusing to leave Gordon.  He's had enough death.

Things I didn't like: I don't believe for a second that Harvey shot himself.

Batman and Robin Annual #2

Batman and the original Robin together.  Yay!

Things I liked: Dick as a teen is not all the different from Dick as an adult.  The escape stunt in the helicopter was improbable but oh so awesome.

Things I didn't like: it's a reminder that we'll probably never see this again.  Damian or Dick.

Batman and Robin #27

I don't like that this title has turned into the Batman teamup book.

Things I liked: having Harvey start off as a defense attorney adds a new complexity to the character,.

Things I didn't like: Gotham must have the least control airways of any city.  People are always taking them over.

Batman and Robin #26

It's not even Batman and Two-Face like it says on the cover.  They're not working together.

Things I liked: Erin's motivation almost makes sense.

Things I didn't like: why is Bruce getting involved again?

Batman and Robin #25

They need a better visual clue that it's about to be a flashback.  It was too close to the current time to be obvious.

Things I liked: it gives Harvey a bit more.  Different anyway, it's a new take.

Things I didn't like: this is why I didn't like Batman Incorporated.  It brings the crazies to Bruce Wayne.

Batman and Robin #24

This one's a stretch.

Things I liked: it's still a good story.  Batman versus the mob is usually a good story.

Things I didn't like: it wasn't that the changed the person who scarred Dent into a woman.  It wasn't even that she somehow managed to overpower him and tie him to a desk.  It was that she didn't do it in open court.  I've always felt that was a very fundamental part of the story.

Killer Croc #1

Killer Croc is a tough character to write.  You want to make him the main focus, but he's just not that bright.

Things I liked: what makes Croc Croc was interesting.  He failed more than he succeeded.

Things I didn't like: it was hard to get invested in the story.  He's still Killer Croc.

Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins #1

Ra's does seem the most likely to stand Gainst the Secret Soceity of Supervillains.

Things I liked: that nobody can tell him what to do.  That's the sort respect a villain like him demands.

Things I didn't like: he had to be there for the start of World War I?

Court of Owls #1

I like the Court of Owls.  They're a great villain, but I don't think they're a premiere villain.  They're crazy, but not Joker crazy.

Things I liked: trying to give an overview of the long history of the Court.  They're really trying to stick this group into Gotham's history.

Things I didn't like: it just wasn't a good story.  It jumped around too much and tried to focus on too any different aspects of the Court.

Two-Face #1

It's too bad they couldn't make this start with issue #2.

Things I liked: I've always liked Two-Face as a villain.  He's a very interesting psychopath.

Things I didn't like: the story faltered right near the end.  It was going along well and then lost the way.
