Wonder Woman #38

Yay!  Donna Troy!

Things I liked: Batman and Wonder Woman's conversation.

Things I didn't like: he doesn't draw her mature enough.

Wonder Woman #37

I wanted Donna back, but not like this.

Things I liked: she does have a lot on her plate.

Things I didn't like: Diana looks way too young.

Wonder Woman #36

A new creative team.  I'll give them a chance but I'm not a big fan of Davis Finch's art style.

Things I liked: Aquaman is Swamp Thing's favourite Leaguer.  Tee hee!

Things I didn't like: I was pretty sure that Hippolyta was no longer a clay statue.

Wonder Woman #35

Did not see that coming.  All this time Zola was Athena.

Things I liked: Diana really cut loose.

Things I didn't like: where do they go from here?  This was so epic and changed everything.  How does she just become a hero?

Wonder Woman #34

I'm going to miss these guys when they're gone.

Things I liked: perfect story climaxing.  Everything that's been happening is coming to a head.

Things I didn't like: I won't be sorry when Zola's story ends.

Wonder Woman #33

So this whole time he wanted Wonder Woman to have his babies?  Ew.

Things I liked: blood teleportation is cool.

Things I didn't like: God baby Zeke.

Wonder Woman #32

Dig the battle armour.

Things I liked: Diana is very proactive.

Things I didn't like: the plan the First Born has.

Wonder Woman #31

Paradise Island is in for some big changes.

Things I liked: Diana gives good speeches.  She's starting to give too many, but they're good.

Things I didn't like: Hermes is hurt again.

Wonder Woman #30

I think Hera wants to be a substitute mother for Diana and that's why she can't turn Hippolyta back from clay.

Things I liked: Diana's impassioned speech to the Amazons.  It made sense, so many speeches don't.

Things I didn't like: wow, those Amazons really hate penises.

Wonder Woman #29

Yay!  No more stone Amazons.

Things I liked: Artemis and Apollo do have a really weird relationship.

Things I didn't like: Hera just getting her powers back.  It was too easy.

Wonder Woman #28

I quite like the art in this series.  She looks solid, yet still feminine.

Things I liked: Wonder Woman always looks for the good in people.

Things I didn't like: Dio gave up pretty quick.

Wonder Woman #27

I was a little concerned with this next phase of Wonder Woman, but I'm not disappointed.

Things I liked: I know she's up to something.  That little smile says she is.

Things I didn't like: the Minotaur as a gimp.

Wonder Woman #26

I like when the main character fails.  It gives them somewhere to go.

Things I liked: Diana honestly thought she was the only one who knew what was going on.  That king of hubris is what the gods love to mock.

Things I didn't like: Zola is made of trouble.

Wonder Woman #25

What has Strife got planned.  It can't be good.

Things I liked: Strife intrigues me.  I want to know her game.

Things I didn't like: characters seemed stagnant here.  No one really moved forward.

Wonder Woman #24

Hermes is right.  I hope she comes to see that.

Things I liked: Wonder Woman as War continues to have interesting complications.

Things I didn't like: Hera is losing it.

Cheetah #1

My favourite Manhunter!  I actually do remember the Mark Shaw Manhunter.  I know there have been many but he's the one I know.

Things I liked: this was a very different take on Cheetah.  I know as they've upped Wonder Woman they've had to up some of her villains as well.  From that perspective she makes sense.  Otherwise...

Things I didn't like: a modern day cult?  Set up as a religious school.  I'm not sure that's within the boundaries of acceptance.

First Born #1

This read like a Greek myth.  And an origin story too.

Things I liked: I've wanted to know more of the first since he first appeared.  I know my Greek mythology pretty well so I thought I could place him.  This makes sense.

Things I didn't like: the hyena people were a little disturbing.

Wonder Woman #23

Hades is right - Diana will make an interesting God of War.

Things I liked: they won me over.  I wasn't sure where they were going with this storyline but I'm pleased with the resolution.  It made me tear up when she killed War.  And I hadn't even liked him.

Things I didn't like: I don't like the goddess stories with Diana, but I'm willing to give them a chance.

Wonder Woman #22

I wish they'd spent more time on New Genesis, that was interesting.

Things I liked: Orion was great this issue, he's really forming into an intriguing character.

Things I didn't like: Wonder Woman does a whole lot of vowing to get back at people.  I don't recall vengeance being a big part of her philosophy.  It's becoming kind of a one note thing with her.

Wonder Woman #21

Orion is a good addition to the Wonder Woman pantheon.  It makes sense in a way.

Things I liked: Orion's complete confidence in himself.  Nothing phases him.

Things I didn't like: still can't figure out who this First Born is.  It should be Hephaestus, but it isn't.
