Fury of Firestorm #20

Wrapped up in a rush.

Things I liked: the interplay between Jason and Ronnie was always the best part of this series.

Things I didn't like: they weren't given enough time to wrap things up.  It's very rushed.

Fury of Firestorm #19

Ronnie's mom can take a lot of punishment.

Things I  liked: pretty big battle, it moved well from villain to villain.

Things I didn't like: seems like they tried to get all of Firestorm's villains into the last two issues for no good reason.

Fury of Firestorm #18

It's too bad this series is being cancelled. I really like the relationship between Ronnie and Jason.

Things I liked: even though I knew it was a trap I liked the set up.

Things I didn't like: kind of a leap for Multiplex to figure out Ronnie's identity. Jason I could see, but nor Ronnie.

Fury of Firestorm #17

Firestorm must feel popular this month. Both the Titans and the Justice League asked him to join.

Things I liked: Ronnie angst! I don't know why, but I live when bad things happen to thus character.

Things I didn't like: the team up seemed contrived. I hate when superheroes meet and the irst thing they do is fight.

Fury of Firestorm #16

Yay! Teen Titans next issue.

Things I liked: Ronnie's mom and Jason's dad keep this series rooted in the real. I like that Firestorm has problems outside of being a superhero.

Things I didn't like: hero that people think is a villain. That's just old.

Fury of Firestorm #15

I wasn't expecting all three of them to be in the quantum space that is the Firestorm matrix.

Things I liked: Ronnie keeps things simple. I like that attitude.

Things I didn't like: the eyes appearing when Ronnie and Jason started getting control again. It was a hokey image to symbolize that they're able to see what Firestorm sees.

Fury of Firestorm #14

I'm kind of curious which of them gets displaced. It still looks mostly like Ronnie's body but the bad guy is definitely in charge.

Things I liked: they're starting to be friends. I liked Ronnie's reaction to his mom possibly dating Jason's dad.

Things I didn't like: Captain Atom is hanging out on the moon, huh? How original.

Fury of Firestorm #13

This is another issue that makes me wish I'd read the zeroes.

Things I liked: yay! Just one Firestorm again!

Things I didn't like: things seem back to normal after what had just happened. Their parents are back in town. Ronnie has both arms... I'm a little lost

Fury of Firestorm #12

That was worth the wait.

Things I liked: climaxed nicely. The boys are back together and Zither is out of the picture.

Things I didn't like: not sure I like where they're going with Firehawk.

Fury of Firestorm the Nuclear Men #11

I'm kind of wondering when Ronnie's costume changed. I know he merged with Pohzar at the end but I suspect that's it's an unstable form. I think only he and Jason can form up.

Things I liked: Ronnie's not totally fooled by Pohzar. He'll still stand up for what's right.

Things I didn't like: the issue moved a little too fast, the climax didn't have enough time to peak.

Fury of Firestorm #10

India's firestorm protocol with the multiple arms looks really neat. It makes Ronnie and Jason look like they lack in imagination.

Things I liked: Ronnie's story is really heating up. There's so much going on for him. I worry that Pozhar will break him.

Things I didn't like: Jason, on the other hand, is still a bit of a jerk. Hopefully he's beginning to realize that he needs to find his partner.

Fury of Firestorm #9

Jason's story totally doesn't interest me. Great, just regular superhero stuff. Ronnie's looks way more interesting.

Things I liked: the build up on what's happening to Ronnie.

Things I didn't like: there are too many Firestorm protocols running around. I can't keep track of them.

Fury of Firestorm #8

I feel like I'm missing something here.  Ronnie's story seems to be exactly where I left it - being tortured by another Firestorm protocol.  But Jason's is very far afield.  What's he doing in Paris?

Things I liked: I wish a bit more time was spent on Ronnie this issue.  I think he's reaching a very interesting point that will turn him into a much different person.

Things I didn't like: a few too many Firestorms around.  And it seems like Firehawk and Hurricane are actual government licensed weapons, which is what I thought made Jason and Ronnie unique.  They got all the powers without the decline that seems present in the copies.  That they had a more pure matrix.

The Fury of Firestorm #7

I like Ronnie, way more than Jason, but I don't like what they're doing to him. At least he dialed down the rhetoric.

Things I liked: Ronnie's mom's reaction. It's mostly to whump Jason but I felt it was a true emotion expressed.

Things I didn't like: the heavy handed treatment of Jason. I don't think Zither has to be quite the bitch to get him to do the right thing.

The Fury of Firestorm #6

This one started off so well.  A big slap to the backside of the head that their actions have consequences then it deteriorated.  Some pompous "rah rah America" from Ron and some pointlessness from Jay.  I am disappointed.

Things I liked: the art was very nice here.  It was able to convey a lot of the emotions that Ronnie was feeling.

Things I didn't like: the fight, again, between Ron and Jason.  And them splitting to go their own ways.  I'm still trying to get used to Firestorm as separate entities, I don't think it needs to be split into two stories now.

Fury of Firestorm #5

Im totally with Jason on this one. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Ronnie got a nice portrayal out of this one, he seems very mature in tht he knows his strengths and can recognize when someone has more talent than him. I thought it was great hat he left the decision up to Jason even though it's been quite clear that Jason does not think very much of him. There's a real friendship developing here.

Things I liked: tha the ante has really been upped here. Something goes wrong and there really could an explosion that kills people.

Things I didn't like: I thought it got poured on a little thick for the steps the organization was willing to go to to get the Firestorms. And I still don't trust them.

Fury of Firestorm #4

I like the characters and I want to see where this is going but I'm not sure I actually like the story.  Having two Firestorms with no one merged is not what I think of when I think of Firestorm.

Things I liked: don't trust her Ronnie!  Don't believe her lies.

Things I didn't like: the fake eyelashes drawn on Ronnie's cheeks.  They're really distracting.

Fury of Firestorm #3

Firestorm is beginning to remind me of one of those Japanese robot shows. Powerful by themselves, but more powerful when combined.

Things I liked: Ronnie's not a bad guy.

Things I didn't like: not warming to Jason.

The Fury of Firestorm #2

This was better than the first issue, but I'm still not sure where I stand on it. It was nice to see the meld but it still seems weird having two Firestorms.

Things I liked: I like the way the characters interact.

Things I didn't like: I'm not sure I actually like Jason. He is a bit of a jerk.

Fury of Firestorm: the Nuclear Men #1

Not really a big Firestorm fan. Must be becaue of Gail Somone's writing that I been enjoyed this one. I don't know if I'll stick with it but I am curious as to where the plot is going. I don't know if I like both Ronnie and Jason being high school students, with Jason being the obligatory super genius. I'll see where it goes,

Things I liked: the dimensions given to the characters pre-Firestorm. Specifically the juxtaposition of their home lives where they talked to a parent about meeting the other.

Things I didn't like: separate Firestorms? He's supposed to be merged.
